The Wu Luo or the Immortal Gourd is regarded by legend to contain the elixir of immortality. Many generations of Chinese invite this special gourd into their homes to bring longevity and good health. This special brass Wu Luo features engravings of soaring Cranes and running Deer.
Cranes are considered the patriarch of all birds, and when depicted soaring, are said to bring excellent good health in this life, and a good afterlife when one's time has come.
